Mutual Mentoring:

Mutual mentoring is a way two parties can come together to meet their mutual needs as defined in the diagram shown above.
An example of mutual mentoring is where two parties are both starting their own new businesses, but lack higher level needs in two areas areas shown above, namely, "Needs" and "Technology"
Mentor A
- Has experience "NEEDS" at level 5 [business relationships] and level 6 [wisdom in the particular business], but
- Lacks experience in "TECHNOLOGY" at level 5 [Social media] and level 6 [Replace hard work].
Whereas:
Mentor B
- Lacks experience in "NEEDS" at level 5 [business relationships] and level 6 [wisdom in the particular business], but
- Has experience in "TECHNOLOGY" at level 5 [Social media] and level 6 [Free us from hard work].
However, mutual mentoring will only work if both mentors can operate at level 5 [Relationship principles] and level 6 [Thinking principles] in PRINCIPLES.
Then:
Both parties should be able to prepare a scope of works which will be to their mutual benefit.
There are many people starting business that are in these categories, for example:
- Retired or unemployed ex owners or managers of businesses who want to keep working.
- Young people with little commercial experience, but excellent skills in technology.
If their principles or values match, then they could mentor each other.
